Screen goes dark when I click the edit button

Hi
When I click the edit button on any page the screen gets the dark overlay but doesn't go through to the edit page. The only way I can get to the edit page is if I go to find content and click on edit that way. But when I am on a page I want to edit and l click the edit button again it goes black but doesn't go the next step for editing. I have tried this in IE11 and chrome and firefox they all seem to do it, but all browsers work fine using our old Yara template which is on the same server.

There is some javascript conflict. Please follow these steps:

  1. Login as administrator on your website.
  2. Navigate to: Administration >> Modules
  3. Disable Overlay module
  4. Done!!
