Editing BerryPro demo content

You kindly installed the demo content for me and that's great. But when I try to edit the content and save it, it reverts to the original rather than my own text. For example the words on the homepage slider, and the destinations for the social media links do this. In the theme settings I change the text to my own version, save the configuration, clear the caches and then view the result - nothing has changed and when I go back to the theme settings the original demo words have reappeared instead of my edits. Are the demo words hard-coded somewhere that I'm not aware of, or do I need to change file permissions on something to make it work? Or is there another explanation that I am missing entirely?
