Vani Theme: Unable to add content in sidebars

Hello,
Just installed the Vani free for testing purposes but I'm unable to add blocks in sidebar regions. Do I need the pro version to be able to use those regions? Thanks.

You do not need pro version for sidebar. This feature is available in free version also. Please refer to this tutorial:

Well, the steps described there is exactly what i'm doing. However no block is shown in the sidebars. I could show it in the footer though

The sidebar regions only work in the pro versions! Those blocks not working on sidebars work fine on Content region and footer region.
